A Government inspection has just given Leicester City Council one of the worst housing ratings in the country.
Inspectors found serious failings in how Labour have run council housing:
- 70% of homes had no electrical safety check
- No proof homes are safe from asbestos or other hazards
- The last proper survey was back in 2009
This affects 18,000 families in Leicester. People could be living with dangerous electrics, damp, mould or asbestos, and the Council doesn’t even have the full picture.
