The Council’s local Plan will mean fewer places for families to meet and enjoy the green spaces available Leicester.
Numerous green spaces from across our city will be lost if the Draft Local Plan goes ahead.
The consultation for this plan is currently open, this is your best opportunity to question the Council and if residents do not act this plan will go ahead without the city's consent.
We believe that the plan will negatively affect the city in a variety of different ways:
- The loss of Green Space will affect families mental/physical health
- The loss of leisure and exercise space will negatively affect the city's children
- The plan will further worsen the climate crisis that our planet faces
- Wildlife across the city will loose its home
