Local textile manufacturer have seen first hand how Leicester’s textile trade has shrunk across our city. This is very dangerous as hundreds of jobs rest on the success of this sector, it was once the pride of Leicester.
We have been campaigning to form a textile forum to improve the standards and give the sector the exposure needed to increase the sales to the retailers. We have asked the City Mayor for an investment to restart the sector however this is currently being blocked, risking you and your families jobs.
