Local residents have reported to us that their homes have issues with damp and other building damage.
We wanted to check that other homes in the area are damage free.
It is the local council's responsibility to ensure that your home is free from any damage. The local residents that we have spoken to have reported the issues and the council have ignored them.
This is disgraceful, especially after the City Mayor, Sir Peter Soulsby and his Labour collegaues have just risen social housing rent by 1.5% and hiked Council tax by over £280 in the last 5 years.
We are now working with the residents involved to force the council into making the changes and repairs that are required in the properties
reported.
