This area has been ignored by the local Labour Councillors for too long. Whilst they have been interested in looking after Peter Soulsby's interests at City Hall, our area has been left neglected.

Local Conservatives have a plan to make Rushey Mead a better place.

1) Protect local community facilities:

We will fight to protect Rushey Mead's community faculities and invest in them for the future.

The local Labour Party just voted to hike your bills and make everybody poorer. 

They have voted to:

Increase Council tax by 5%
Increase Council House rents by 7%
Increase district heating charges by 463%

Abbey ward Conservatives have pledged to make three big changes to the ward when they are elected in May.

1) Remove the Beaumont Lane pop-up bicycle lane

2) Save local green spaces from Labour's demolition

3) Repair local roads after years of pothole neglect

Recent events have shown how dangerous speeding is in and around the Braunstone estate, but once again the Labour Councillors are ignoring the problem and ignoring the estate.

In January 2022 the City Mayor, Peter Soulsby promised that no housing development would take place on any green spaces in Evington.

The City Mayor alongside the Labour ward councillors have voted to build over 500 new houses and 7 traveller camps across green spaces at Western Park and New Parks.

Local Conservatives announce that if they win the local elections in May next year, they will scrap the role of Leicester’s City Mayor.

Local textile manufacturer have seen first hand how Leicester’s textile trade has shrunk across our city. This is very dangerous as hundreds of jobs rest on the success of this sector, it was once the pride of Leicester.
